Madonie Natural Park, which offers landscapes of rare beauty, includes in its territory towns rich in art, history, culture, outstanding cuisine and folklore.

The most remarkable are:

Scillato, with its 30 kilometers of water sources, the very impressive Sanctuary of Maria Santissima della Catena with marble statues of the brothers Gagini, dating back to 1570.

Collesano, with its notable medieval architecture and the wonderful Basilica of Saint Peter dating back to 1540, with works of fine value.

For car racing lovers, interesting and noteworthy is the Museum of Targa Florio.

Polizzi Generosa, to which Frederick II granted the noble title of “Generosa”, still part of the name.

Stunning is the church Chiesa Madre, with works by Giambologna and Gagini.

According to us, Polizzi Generosa, with its charming churches and palaces, is a wonderful place to visit and it has a high seductive power at night when lights make it shining.

Surrounded by a lush vegetation, it offers beautiful hiking trails. Exciting is the phenomenon of “maretta“, visible from Piano Trinità: clouds covering  the hills at low altitude are interrupted by the high peaks which emerge as islands on a vast misty sea.

Caltavuturo, with its beautiful Chiesa Madre which shows the “Madonna della Neve” by Francesco Laurana.

Castellana Sicula with its noteworthy Civic Museum.

Petralia Sottana and Petralia Soprana, ancient towns where is possible to see the “Dance of Cordella”, a traditional dance to thank Mother Nature and Providence for the good harvest.

Cefalù with its famous Norman Cathedral and the stunning blue sea.

Leisure time: Trekking with picnic bag.
Available on request, guided excursions to Madonie Natural Park and daily seaside trips to Cefalù.
