La Ferula, country house for tourist hospitality, is part of a 19th century rural block, set among centenary olive trees in the picturesque scenery of Madonie Natural Park,
between Punta Minieri and Monte dei Cervi. Its name comes from the association with a local plant which gives us a beautiful yellow blossom in spring; in winter, after becoming shrub, it allows the growth of a really delicious mushroom in its underbrush. This typical mushroom is a widely used ingredient in local cuisine.
The house overlooks a suggestive courtyard, a place used in the past for the processing of olives and now turned into a relaxing spot where guests are pampered with granita, ice cream and aperitives alfresco, surrounded by the quietness and calmness of the mountain landscape.
